Coach Lennie Zalesky and the Cal Baptist Lancers wrestling team have added a recruit for the 2019 class in Clovis High Brandon Paulson. Paulson becomes the first in-state recruit for Zalesky and company in the class of 2019. The website PinFall Recruiting, first reported of Paulson committing to Cal Baptist.
Paulson, who punched his ticket to his second consecutive state tournament last season, will be in the hunt to become Clovis High 26th individual state champion during the 2018-19 campaign. Paulson picked the Lancers over other Pac-12, Big-12, and Big-10 programs. Last season, Cal Baptist finished as the Super II Regional Champions and third at the NCAA Division II Nationals.
Paulson is having a great pre-season as he is coming off from winning the 128-pounds elite division at the always tough World Challenge. His stock will keep on raising with Clovis tough schedule. Paulson is projected to take over the role at Cal Baptist at 125 or either 133.
