Cal Poly drops PAC-12 finale to #5 Arizona State

February 11, 2021 TEMPE, Ariz. — Legend Lamer and Bernie Truax earned victories, but Arizona State won the remaining eight matches for a 34-6 Pac-12 Conference dual wrestling meet win over Cal Poly on Thursday inside Desert Financial Arena. Lamer was a 5-4 winner over Cory Crooks at 149 pounds to improve to 9-0 on the year.

Ranked No. 18 by Trackwrestling.com this week, Lamer earned the riding time point at the end of regulation to break the 4-4 deadlock. Crooks had tied the match with a takedown late in the second period.

Truax improved to 7-1 on the season with a 4-2 overtime win over Trey Munoz at 174.
