The Cal Poly coaching staff got some big news this morning as 2018 CIF state champion Trent Tracy (Frontier) announced his decision to continue his wrestling career for the Mustangs.
The soon to be senior had a phenomenon junior season that saw him captured a state title at 170-pounds. It was the second time for Tracy competing at the CIF state tournament after being a qualifier as a sophomore.
During his junior season, Tracy was triumphant in winning four tournaments (Newbury Park, Chukchansi, El Cajon, the Bash) while placing at the always rugged Doc Buchanan and Mid-Cal events.
Tracy is projected to compete for the Mustangs at 165/174 after a redshirt season in his initial year of college.
