Selma’s Oscar Diaz to compete for Colorado State-Pueblo (NCAA Division II)

Another of Selma’s High-top grappler has signed to continue his wrestling career in the next level; This time it is senior Oscar Diaz, a four-year varsity starter for the Bears.

With the signing of Diaz, he will become the seventh wrestler from Selma to compete for a college/university. While competing for the Bears, Diaz was a four-time Central Sequoia League champion, two-time Division II Valley champion, four-time state qualifier, and a two-time CIF state medalist.

Diaz will become the fifth California native to compete for the Thunder Wolves when he joins the squad this upcoming fall. Diaz is projected to compete at 157/165 once he begins competing.
During the 2017-18 campaign, the Thunder Wolves placed 11th at the NCAA Division II National tournament and finished with two All-Americans.
