Who’s ready to compete at The Gridiron Grind – Super Bowl Saturday tournament? The Gridiron Grind – Super Bowl Saturday tournament returns to Carlsbad, California, this weekend, featuring a slew of talent from all over Southern California. In association with Southern California Wrestling Alliance for the Youth (SCWAY), the one-day tournament is regarded as one of the toughest youth tournaments of the year due to the plethora of grapplers who are looking to make their marks and obtain SCWAY seeding points.

The Gridiron Grind – Super Bowl Saturday tournament is unique and one of a kind as it will have ten mats on the football field being work by official California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) referees; mistakes will be minimal or none. The number of register grapplers is insane with almost topping the limit of entries; make sure to register before this opportunity is gone!

Due to popular demand, Mr. Roy E. Oliver will be putting a free clinic focusing on basic set-ups, and takedowns from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM. Mr. Oliver was a three-time Division I All-American for Arizona State with a 90-14 career record. He was a member of the U.S. Olympic team in 1984 and was chosen California Community College Coach of the Year in 1988. A remarkable record for someone who never plans to grow old, Roy is deeply involved with “his kids,” over 85 young men from 4-14 years old that, he coaches and travels with to meets in a six-state area.
