Trevor Ervin signs with U.S. Air Force Academy

Trevor is not your average athlete, not only does he excel on the mats at Buchanan High, but also on the gridiron where he has been part of the varsity squad the past three-seasons playing running back.

At 5’10 and 210 pounds of solid muscle, Trevor ended his football career with 2,692 total rushing yards, 81.6 rushing yards per game, and 33 total touchdowns. But despite having high numbers, Trevor decided to pursue the sport of wrestling and served his country.

During his sting at Buchanan High, Trevor was a four-year varsity starter and helped the Bears win the coveted CIF state team title in 2016, 2017, and most recently in 2018. Individually, Trevor was a four-time state qualifier where he placed sixth as a junior and finished in the blood round as a freshman, sophomore, and senior year’s.

He had a tremendous senior season where he was the champion at the Zinkin Classic, Doc Buchanan, the Central Section, and entered the state tournament as the No. 2 seeded wrestler at 220-pounds.

Trevor recently graduated from Buchanan High with a 4.0 GPA. At the Air Force Academy, He is expected to compete for the 197-pound varsity spot.
