Wetzel Hill Jr changes his mind; he will now compete at Life Pacific College

WETZEL HILL JR. (Trabuco Hills HS, SS)

After having an excellent 2017-18 season that saw him advanced to the CIF state tournament, Wetzel Hill Jr. was offered a wrestling scholarship to compete for Concordia University of Nebraska for Coach Andrew Nicola; a well respect wrestling coach throughout the country. However, Concordia University decided to let go of Coach Nicola, and many of his recruited wrestlers determined to continue their collegiate career at a different institute.

Hill was one of them. After assessing his options, Hill agreed to continue his career for Coach Arsen Aleksanyan and Life Pacific College in San Dimas, California.

A three-year varsity starter for the Mustangs, Hill was a three-time CIF participant and placed twice in the tournament. As a high school senior, Hill was a CIF Southern Section Coastal champion, placed fourth at the Southern Section Masters Meet tournament, and finish in the blood round at the CIF state tournament at 160-pounds.

Hill is projected to start for Life Pacific College next season at 165-pounds.
